Croatian Radio Club Banquet October 21st
Great food, great music – that about sums up the 64th Annual American-Croatian Radio Club banquet slated for Saturday, October 21 in Milwaukee. As per usual, the banquet will take place at Sacred Heart Croatian Church’s hall, located at 917 North 49th Street.
Great food? Here is what you have to look forward to – a sit down dinner featuring breaded Chicken, Gulash and Sarma – all homemade by the dedicated volunteers from Sacred Heart and the Radio Club.
Now for the key details: Social Hour (also known as cocktail hour) will commence at 5:30 pm; dinner will begin at 6:30 pm, followed by dancing – all subject to change due to Croatian time.
Admission is $25.00 for adults, $12.00 for children 6 – 12 years of age and $10.00 if you show up for the dance only. Don’t be a cheap date – make him take you to dinner!
For tickets, call Steve Varga at (414) 541-0262 (or at the Legion Post), Damir Braovac at (262) 796-1253, Ivan Macan at (414) 328-1936 or Karlo Milling at (920) 253-8595. Reserve your tickets and table today!
Milwaukee’s Croatian Radio Club was established in 1953 – a great year for many, many reasons. We have no real way of knowing this for sure, but we believe it is the oldest radio club in the USA.
Anyway, you can tune into Milwaukee’s Croatian Radio program every Saturday, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, at 1340 WJYI AM or 98.7 FM.
Please make plans for a great evening of fine food and great music and support the Radio Club on October 21st
